Athlete’s Softball Success Story
Polly Humphreys’ Mental Strength Training (M.S.T) has been instrumental to our daughter Betsy’s progress to the next level in fast pitch softball. Since working with Polly, Betsy’s batting average has increased greatly. Results: from average of .175 per tournament play, to an average of.500 per tournament. Polly used varied skilled M.S. T. reinforcement techniques: hypnosis, visualization, breathing control and coaching strategies. These led to great improvement also in Betsy sustaining mental focus and emotional control for each tournament. Bonus: These have carried beyond softball into her daily life.
It is a relief to know that “Road Blocks” that potentially can get in our way of reaching our goals can be overcome. Polly Humphreys and her program can help us overcome these blocks so we can continue on the road to success. Thank you Polly! Caroline and Wes Ingle ….Conover, NC

Peak Performance Level Elevated
When I was on the field, I felt hopeless. It felt like I had a phobia of throwing overhand because my hand did strange things, regardless of what I did. I felt like I wasn’t in control of my hand anymore when I was on the field. My pitching coach, ‘Chief’ sent me to Polly because he believed she could help me take back my power, control my thoughts and beliefs including overcoming this fear. SUCCESS at Backbone Builder: A gradual process via Mental Strength Training with Polly, led to my success of throwing overhand normal again. I had success with ‘Coach P’ – I regained my confidence in my pitching abilities and mental focus. I thank Polly for helping me burst through that hard time and believe in my abilities again. She gave me key tools that led to my break-through that successfully elevated my Peak Performance level outcomes……Client of ‘Chief’ (Billy Gerald, Pitching Instructor), Sanbill Pitching Academy

Sports Performannce Enhancement: Fast Pitch Pitcher Overcomes Fear of Failure
Our 12 year old daughter has been training with Coach Polly for almost a year now. My husband and I were referred to Coach Polly for Sports Performance Enhancement by our daughter's softball pitching coach after continuous struggles in game situations.
It was concluded by her pitching coach that our daughter had a fear of failure and extreme lack of confidence in her athletic abilities during competition. Within our first two sessions with Coach Polly, our daughter was able to pinpoint what events had occurred that led to her fear of failure and lack of confidence. ‘Coach P’ has given our daughter numerous tools that she can use; in athletics, and at school as well when she starts to feel scared, nervous, anxious, and for reducing or eliminating fears.
With each session, ‘Coach P’ has taught our daughter how the mind works and problems are opportunities to grow and learn from. These problems previously lead to extreme anxiety; however now, our daughter knows how to trust herself and use her faith to overcome her fears and obstacles. The tools given to our daughter to use when she feels doubt starting to creep into her mind are simple and inconspicuous.
Coach Polly at Backbone Builder, has helped our daughter overcome so many obstacles in her young athletic career. Just four months ago our daughter was not able to pitch an entire inning of a softball game. She is now, successfully pitching 5 innings and loving the game of softball again. Thank you Coach Polly for all you have done to help put the smile back on our daughter's face while playing the sport she loves! Clayton
